When you feel stressed out

Ah… we maybe all have some characters who we don’t like or difficult to be friend with. The day when you witnessed very stressful moments with him or her, your day suddenly seems rainy day even though the outside is pretty sunny. I believe that there are people who we can’t get along. I’m not talking about discrimination. However, you know. There is a comedian’s quote. “Everyone has somebody you don’t like or feel irritated when you saw them, if you don’t have such people, YOU are the person.”

Anyhow, one of a character who I’m not enough to be confident to get along with is a person who talk too much (90% meaningless), talk too long, talk to me too often, and the story is re-run kind of story or something really boring one. I, literally, can’t bear with hearing boring stories, and sometimes I even feel total waste of time. Then, I feel very mixed feeling. If I say “Sorry but it’s enough now”, I feel like I lost against something. Hmm… am I rather an asshole pretender?

Like any people wish, I want to spend life with full of positive mind, and friends or colleagues. But, it’s just an ideal thought. There are no such utopia in this world. But at least, I want to be more generous guy who can be smile in any stressful situations with natural sense.

Efforts that you don’t feel as efforts

Do you have some things which requires a certain efforts for people but not for you. There are some things that you can use a kind of “the force” thing, for instance, like everyone struggles to write an essay, but somehow you can finish writing really quickly. It can be said as a talent, but today, I would call the ability more like “the force” in Star Wars movies.

Everyone seems to have a force for something. Of course we can’t make something fly or kill somebody softly with the power though, maybe there are something that can be called “the force” in this world. One of my kind of force is to write something, talking with fun to the very first meeting people, all compared to people I’ve met before.

Some people feel a thing that create huge stress, but you can even feel joy from the action. There are such things, and I want to keep brushing such my precious ability up for the entire life. The news of a Japanese scientist receiving Nobel Prize for Physics was buzzed in yesterday, and one of a media quoted his comments, which was like “I actually had no idea that my research object would be important research theme from the beginning, but I was very passionate about the research topic from more that 30 years ago (the system of climate changing)”.

Perhaps we should keep trying on something we can do without efforts. I mean, efforts we don’t feel them as the way average people feel. Then, we can enjoy the effort and we don’t have to regret in the future.

What is Saturday to you?

It’s Saturday. Truly the happiest day through a week because you can never feel more freedom and possibility for the rest of your life on this day. Sunday is a bit tricky. It seems that you can do anything but the Monday comes right before you. That means, you feel like you need to prepare something for Monday, and sometimes you even find yourself worried to welcome Monday. How awful it is. Why am I so afraid of going to Monday? But, the most of people can understand what I’m feeling right now. I somehow like my job, my current situation, but, Sunday seems pretty dull.

Next to Saturday, my favorite day is Friday because you can do anything compared to the other days. However, we Japanese high school teachers have a tricky problem that is that we have a club activity on Saturday. I mean, I need to be a coach of a club activity from 8 am to 12 on the day. That is really tricky. Why I say it’s tricky because it sometimes felt really fun to be in a school office on Saturday morning till noon and enjoy activity with students, but, sometimes I suddenly feels like am I doing right? Am I losing a precious moment for my life? or like that.

Being a teacher itself is tricky now I think. If you really love talking or interacting with students, this job is super attractive for you guys, but like me who are not that good at staying with students for long time, I’m always wondering if I could do better to deal with or talk with adults than children. Do I really want to keep doing this job? Should I change a job after 1 or 2 year after making my homeroom students graduated? That kind of things are what I think of recently. And then, I find Saturday is somehow also a tricky day.

3 signs that prove you are in good mental condition according to my mentor

Speaking of mental health, there seem so much unique ways that indicate your mental health condition that we don’t even know what kind of mental health is good for us today. To the Japanese school teachers, there comes “stress check test” in my email box and it is anyway offered to check and improve teachers mental condition. Huh. First of all, you need to find this ID and Password and please spare 10 min. For this test and you will need… taking the test is a huge stress to me now anyway.

Besides this, my mentor, who was an acclaimed professor in a Japanese university and is really famous, so I’d rather not mention his name though, here is what I heard from him directly when we happened to eat lunch in the UK.

There, he says, are three definitions or criteria to me to show my good mental health. The first one is you can enjoy having foods. If you are too stressed out, you would find the food’s taste boring. Secondly, you feel like to start new things, things like a hobby, studying or weekend plan. That means you have an afford to don something new. And thirdly, you feel like to write. It doesn’t only means to write to someone but also a diary or blogs. I personally think it means you are in a creative mood. Creating something really cultivate your heart Kurt Vonnegut once said.

Above all, I am totally non specialist for this kind of topics, but I instinctively can agree those things and I’d like to highly recommend you to indicate your mental health level by these. That is my personal stress check, and I’d like to propose it to the school education board near future to reduce stress of stress check!

5 Things to Overcome Your Depressed Feeling (during Stay-Home)

Hi there. What’s up? I’m spending pretty boring staying-home days “as usual” now. In my early days of my quarantine, I had high hopes to try to read super difficult philosophical books, working out hard to be like Under Armor mannequins, and more and more. However, you know, the only one check in my to do list was practicing the guitar everyday. By staring the list, I realize how stupid person I am, and gradually I start to lose my confidence and hate myself (Ta-da! Happy depression!). But, thanks to my life experience of 27 years, I have plenty of tips to overcome such feelings and came back to normal decent one. Now is the time to share my routine, please try some if you think will work!

Running

One of my favorite books for running.

“When you are in trouble or feel depressed, all you have to do immediately is run”. There was a great instructor in the gym I used to go, and he says to me anytime when I looked like down. Actually, it really works. But like other such things, it seems really hard and tiresome before actually doing, but after that, you found yourself in no regret after all. Sometimes just do it really matters.

Do something you like or something new

For me, reading books, watching movies, listening to my favorite radio programs, playing the guitar, writing a letter to my friends, reading my favorite magazines, writing this blog is kind of fun things. And especially in this time, maybe we should try something completely new. This blog was never created without this pandemic. There must be trillions things you have avoided to do unconsciously, so now, why not to try something new? Buy magazines you have never bought, make a phone call to your old friend, download some new apps, etc. What new do you want to try today?

Cooking

Matty matters.

Actually, I have underestimated how great thing cooking is. When you stand in the kitchen and cut some vegetables in line with the cutting board, you realize your stress has relieved in a different way. Yes. Cooking actually helps to relieve your stress. Try to cook some gourmet dish tonight.

Cleaning your room

In short, if your brain is overheating or in trouble, maybe that is because you think too much because of so much boring time. Then, just make you a bit busy. If you move your body, that’s more effective. Yes, cleaning the floor or bathroom can be a great exercise and you can feel so accomplished. By the way, it is really weird that we never mentally break down by too much exercise but too much thinking. It’s not fair, isn’t it?

Zoom with Beer

However you tried to these things, sometimes you find yourself don’t want to do anything at all. Then, the most important thing at that time is to totally admit your situation and the way of your thinking. As long as you live, I think that we are the winner of our life. So, just have a cup of coffee or a glass of beer and have a zoom cafe or bar. “Friends in need is friends indeed”. This is one of my favorite old saying. It is the best timing to rely on each other. By the interaction, our relationship can grow stronger.

I have never visited South Africa, Malaysia, Russia and France but India. I love overseas travel.

Thank you very much for reading. Let’s survive together. And I’m actually getting energy by readers from around the worlds. Although I have just started writing on this blog, I have readers from all over the world. Maybe I can’t travel and make friends in every single country though, my article can be read from readers in every single country. And I think that is my ultimate goal and a kind of miracle. I’d like to take it easy to keep journaling. See you again and have a good day/night.
